Post construction cleaning, Karachi

Post Construction Cleaning in Karachi

We clean finished sites before handover. Construction dust, bonded residue and loose debris are three different jobs and we quote them that way, we work in accessible areas, and every visit ends with a written handover checklist.

Send your handover date first, because we schedule the survey and the clean against it. Working days and hours are agreed at the survey or before booking.

What is post construction cleaning in Karachi?

Post construction cleaning is the clean between the end of building or renovation work and the day people move in. It deals with three different problems: construction dust that keeps settling out of the structure, residue bonded to surfaces such as cement splash, grout haze and adhesive, and loose debris left by the trades. We work in accessible areas, at floor level and normal reach, and hand over a written checklist of what we cleaned and what we left out.

This page is for offices, shops, clinics, warehouses and flats being handed over in Karachi. Two cleans is the normal pattern when trades are still on site; one is enough when the site is closed and finished.

Three different jobs

Dust, residue and debris are not the same work

A single line saying cleaning after construction hides three tasks that take different time and different methods. Pricing them separately is what stops an argument at handover.

01

Construction dust

Fine cement, plaster and wood powder that sits on every surface and keeps dropping for days after the trades leave.

  • Ceiling edges, ledges, door tops, frames and window tracks
  • Inside fitted cupboards and drawers, and the cavities behind built in units
  • Grilles, switch plates, light fittings and exposed pipework
  • Floors washed more than once, because one pass never holds
02

Bonded residue

Material stuck to the surface rather than sitting on it. What comes off depends on the surface, and the honest answer is sometimes no.

  • Cement splash, grout haze and plaster on tile and glass
  • Paint specks, silicone smears, adhesive and sticker glue
  • Protective film and tape marks on frames and sanitary ware
  • Anything that would damage the finish is left and recorded
03

Loose debris

We collect it, bag it and stack it at one agreed point on site. Taking it off the site stays with your contractor.

  • Packaging, offcuts, wrappers and small rubble
  • Stacked at the point the building management or your contractor names
  • Trucks, skips and disposal stay with your contractor
  • We do not remove heavy rubble or building material

Accessible areas only

Where the team works and where it stops

We reach everything from the floor with standard ladders and poles. Height, facade and shaft work needs equipment and access arrangements SafaiKaro does not provide, so we exclude it rather than attempt it.

For a workplace already in use, see office cleaning in Karachi. For a working kitchen inside the building, see commercial kitchen cleaning in Karachi. For every workplace cleaning scope in one place, see commercial cleaning services in Karachi.

  • Not included: outside height workFacades, outside faces of upper floor windows, rope access, scaffolding and roofs.
  • Not included: enclosed voidsShafts, lift pits, ceiling voids and the inside of ducting.
  • Not included: repairs and snagsWe report paint damage, sealing gaps, loose fittings and damaged material. We do not fix them.
  • Not included: floor treatmentsGrinding, marble polishing and crystallisation are a separate trade with separate machines.
  • Not included: waste disposalOff site removal, trucks, skips and disposal arrangements stay with the contractor or owner. SafaiKaro does not arrange or price them.

The handover checklist

A written record, not a certificate

The visit ends with an area by area list we agree with your site contact. It exists so the person accepting the building and the person who cleaned it are looking at the same facts.

  • What we cleanedEach room or zone, with the surfaces covered in that area.
  • What we left outAreas skipped because of access, ongoing work, locked rooms or an excluded item, with the reason.
  • What we observedScratched glass, chipped tile, missing fittings and stains already in the material, recorded as observations for your contractor.
  • What still needs doingAnything that needs a second visit, a specialist trade or a decision from you.
  • Agreed on siteWe walk it through with your site contact at the end of the visit, so it is not written from memory later.
  • What it is notIt is a work record between SafaiKaro and you. It is not a certificate, an inspection result or an approval of the building.

How it works

From site details to a clean handover

Send the site basics

WhatsApp us the broad area, covered area, number of floors, whether the lift is working, the stage the site is at, the handover date and whether water and power are connected.

We survey where it is needed

Larger or unfinished sites get a short walk through, because debris volume, residue and floor finishes are hard to judge from a message. Small finished spaces we can often quote from photos.

Agree the pattern and the scope

One final clean, or a rough clean during the tail of the works plus a final clean before handover. The survey decides that from the stage the trades are at, and the schedule is agreed there. The written quotation lists the work, whether our own team or a specialist subcontractor does each part, the access assumptions and the exclusions.

We clean, then walk the checklist

The team works through the agreed areas, then goes through the handover checklist with your site contact before leaving.

What changes the price

Site details that move the quote

SafaiKaro does not quote handover cleaning from a rate card. These are the details that decide how many people, how many days and how much equipment the site needs.

  • Stage of worksWhether the trades have left, or are still cutting, painting and drilling while you want the clean done.
  • Debris volumeHow much loose material is still lying on the floors, and where you want it stacked.
  • Building permissionWhether building management allows crew entry, gate passes and a service lift slot, and the hours they permit. In most towers the clean is scheduled around that slot, not around us.
  • Floors and liftFloor count, and whether a working lift is available for equipment, water and bagged debris. Without a lift the crew carries water and bags by hand, which adds people and hours.
  • Water and powerWhether the connections are live. New buildings often have neither. The tanker and the generator are arranged and paid for by the site, not by SafaiKaro, so say in the first message whether they are already there.
  • FinishesTile, wood, stone, glass area and painted surfaces, because they decide what we may use on them.
  • DeadlineThe handover date, and whether the building can be closed while we clean.

Questions contractors and owners ask

Handover cleaning, answered plainly

What does post construction cleaning in Karachi include?

In accessible areas SafaiKaro dusts ceiling edges, walls, ledges, door tops, frames, window tracks, fittings and the inside of fitted cupboards. We clean internal glass, wash the floors more than once, wipe sanitary ware and kitchen units, and bag loose debris to one agreed point on site. Every area goes on a handover checklist at the end.

What is the difference between construction dust, residue and debris?

Dust is the fine cement, plaster and wood powder that keeps falling out of the structure for days, so it needs repeated passes. Residue is bonded to the surface: paint specks, grout haze, cement splash, silicone and adhesive. Debris is loose leftover material. We price them as different work because they take different time and different methods.

Do you remove construction debris from the site?

We collect loose debris, bag it and stack it at the point the building management or your contractor names. Taking construction waste away from the site is not something SafaiKaro arranges: rubble, broken tiles, timber and any load needing a truck or skip stay with your contractor, along with the disposal.

Which areas are not covered by post construction cleaning?

We work only where the team can reach safely from the floor with standard ladders and poles. Outside faces of upper floor windows, facades, rope access, scaffolding, roofs, shafts, lift pits, ceiling voids and duct interiors are excluded. So are repairs, snagging, paint touch ups, floor grinding, marble polishing and crystallisation.

Will one clean be enough before handover?

Usually not, if other trades are still working. Dust keeps dropping from the structure and from live work next door, so a rough clean during the tail of the works and a final clean close to handover is the normal pattern. If the site is finished and closed, one thorough clean can be enough.

Can every construction mark be removed?

No, and a quotation that says otherwise has not seen the surface. Cement splash, grout haze and adhesive usually come off glass and tile. On painted walls, powder coated frames, polished stone, laminate and anodised surfaces the force needed to shift a bonded mark can damage the finish, so we leave it and record it.

What is on the handover checklist?

A written area by area list: what we cleaned, what we deliberately left out and why, and any damage or missing fitting we noticed, recorded as an observation. We walk it through and agree it with your site contact before we leave. It is a work record between SafaiKaro and you, not a certificate, an inspection result or an approval of the building.

Which areas of Karachi do you cover for post construction cleaning?

SafaiKaro takes handover and post renovation work across Karachi, subject to the site's location, size and handover date. Send the broad area on WhatsApp with the covered area and the handover date, and we confirm whether we can take the job before arranging a survey. We quote from photos or a walk through, so this is never a same day visit.
