Poori Building Ya Society: Survey First, Then a Written Quote
A building level job treats the parts of an apartment building that no single resident controls, zone by zone, on one schedule. This is society pest control for the places cockroaches and rats use to move between floors.
Common areas we treat
Basement and parkingDamp corners, drain openings, pump and generator rooms, storage.
Stairwells, corridors and lift lobbiesWall and floor joints, corners and landings along the corridors.
Service ducts and shaftsThe vertical runs where kitchen and bathroom pipes pass every floor, and the main route pests use between flats.
Roof and water tank areaAround the overhead tanks, parapets and roof access. Tell the surveyor which tanks hold drinking water; the written quote states how the tank area is treated.
Drains and garbage pointGutter lines, drain chambers and the kachra collection point, where rats and cockroaches feed.
Ground floor perimeterBoundary wall, entrance, guard room and the ground floor edge where pests come in from outside.
A building job covers common areas only. Residents who want their own flat done book it separately at the published flat price. Shops or offices on the ground floor are commercial premises: see commercial pest control, and mention them at the survey so both are scoped together.
Who has to give permission for common area pest control?
Common areas belong to everyone in the building, so one flat owner cannot sign off on them. Permission comes from whoever manages the building: the society office, the building committee or union, or the management company. That person or body approves the quotation, arranges access to locked areas like the roof, basement and pump room, agrees the date and time, and tells residents in advance. A group of neighbours who want this done needs the committee on board first. If the building has no active committee, the owners agree among themselves who approves and pays, and give us one contact for the survey.
What decides the building quote

- Access: who opens the roof, basement and pump room, and when; timing is agreed at the survey

A building level job is priced after the free site survey, and the number reaches you in writing. There is no rate card for it, because a four floor block with ground floor parking and a tower with a basement are not the same job.
How a building job runs

Free site survey
We walk the common areas with the committee's representative: floors, flats, basement, roof, ducts, drains and the garbage point, plus access and timing. No charge, no obligation, and no quote given blind over the phone.

Written quotation
The quote comes in writing, itemised by zone, with what is included and what is not, and who does the work: our own team or a specialist subcontractor, named in the quote. You have a document to take to your management or building committee, not a WhatsApp number.

Approval and residents' notice
Once the committee approves, the date is fixed and the committee tells residents. Ask at the survey how long each zone should stay clear after treatment, and put that in the residents' notice. Payment terms are stated in the written quotation.

Walkthrough and certificate
